Marco Metra is Full professor of cardiology at the University of Brescia, since December 2015, directs the Institute of Cardiology of the Civil Hospital and University of Brescia, Italy, since November 2012, and was Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Heart Failure, from November 2015 to April 2021. He is President-elect of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology since April 2024.
