Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology of University Hospital Brno and Medical Faculty of Masaryk University and President of the Czech Association of Interventional Cardiology. His working, research and educational activities have been mainly focused on interventional and acute cardiology. Since 2006 he has been part of the European Association of Interventional Cardiology (EAPCI) Committees. In 2012-2016 he was a member of EAPCI Executive Board and Chairman of the European Stent for Life Initiative. He has been a guarantee of the international Centre of Excellence program for complex PCI and intracoronary imaging and founder of the Czech TAVI Registry. He has published 213 peer-review articles with H-index 31.
