Aronow Herbert
Herbert D. Aronow, MD, MPH, FACC, MSCAI, MSVM, is Co-Medical Director of Heart & Vascular Services at Henry Ford Health. He is a Professor at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Aronow completed his undergraduate, medical school and public health studies as well as his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and his Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He is Past President of the Society for Vascular Medicine, current Board Member at the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the CLI Global Society, serves on the Executive Committee at the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization, is Past Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Peripheral Vascular Disease Section, served on the ACC Board of Governors, and was Vice Chair of the 2024 AHA/ACC lower extremity peripheral artery disease guidelines. His clinical focus is on coronary and peripheral vascular intervention and his research centers on the comparative safety and effectiveness of endovascular procedures. Dr. Aronow has published over 280 peer-reviewed original articles, editorials, chapters, and reviews. He serves on the editorial boards for Circulation, Circulation Cardiovascular Interventions, JACC Interventions, Vascular Medicine Journal, and Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
