Prof. Ahmet Çelebi is the founder and director of Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Siyami Ersek Hospital for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery since 2002, which is one of the busiest pediatric and congenital heart centers in Turkiye and Europe. Each year, the team at the pediatric heart center performs more than 800 cardiac catheterizations (mostly interventional), excess of 800 open heart surgeries in infants, children and young adults with congenital heart disease every year.
His main interest is interventional pediatric and congenital cardiology. He is one the founding fellow of the PICS (Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiology) Society in US.
