Professor Mohamed Abdel-Wahab is currently holding the position of Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Head of the Structural Heart Disease Department at the Leipzig Heart Center, and is a Professor of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Leipzig – Germany. The Leipzig Heart Center is one of the largest centers for cardiovascular disease management in Europe. Dr. Aziz completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2010 and continued his training there in pediatric electrophysiology. During his fellowship, Dr. Aziz was awarded a training grant under the National Institute of Health (NIH) to investigate genotype and phenotype correlations in pediatric patients with long QT syndrome. She was a twice recipient of the Joseph Lindsay Teaching Award at Georgetown University/MedStar Washington Hospital Center and a twice recipient of the Joel Rosenthal Teaching Award at Baylor Scott & White, The Heart Hospital.
Dr. Wang is a fellow of the ASE and ACC, and she served as an ASE perioperative executive council member.
